turn off tv for a week??!!
yes, that's what is says in all major newspapers today. reason for doing so is that federation of malaysian consumer association (fomca) aims to enhance family values and ties through this campaign.
hah, it says that a survey done shows that children and young people in many countries spent four to six hours in front of the tv. i feel that it is untrue!
this generation of kids are always busy. even busier than a businessman. school activities, tuition, music classes, art classes, martial arts classes, any classes that you can think of chances are they are already registered for it. so how is it that kids spent that amount of time on tv?
besides watching tv can be a family affair. at least everyone is gathered in front of the box rather than scattered all over in their rooms playing computer games. might as well do a TURN OFF COMPUTER FOR A WEEK CAMPAIGN. i'll so support that cos i sit in front of the computer more than i sit in front of the tv!
i only spent 3 hours per week or maybe less watching tv compared to spending 9 hours in of computer at the office and followed by maybe 3-4 hours of computer from home.
i rather they do a turn off computer than a tv. parents won't know what their kids do sitting in front of the computer all day.
just my two cents worth of words
